Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Visakhapatnam to inaugurate several central government projects and addressed the people of Andhra Pradesh earlier this morning. Prime Minister Modi applauded the government’s efforts and promised the country’s inclusive growth.
Prime Minister Modi was accompanied by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, PA Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the ₹10,000 crore inauguration core AU field projects.
Modi welcomed an ocean of people in Telugu and addressed the growth of the nation. Modi said that Visakhapatnam plays an important role in the country’s business sector and has become the center of attention in the current scenario. He thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for giving him the opportunity to lay the foundation stone for various development projects. He recalled his recent visit to Bhimavaram on the occasion of the 125th birthday of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju.

Modi recalled the time when the former Vice President of India, Mr Venkaiah Naidu, praised the immeasurable love the people of Andhra Pradesh had for their state. He also thanked top BJP leader K Hari Babu for his constant promotion of the interests of the state.
Modi added that the Telugu people are showing their mark all over the world and said that we have continuously developed in the fields of railways, roads and construction as a nation. He pointed to the redevelopment of Visakhapatnam railway station, six-lane road facilities, upgrading of fishing port and development of port area as remarkable growth.
Modi added that all the new projects inaugurated today will be proof of development in Andhra Pradesh. The whole world is now looking to India, he added proudly. Touching on the welfare of ordinary people, he added that the government plans to implement more policies to benefit the disadvantaged.
On the final note, Modi said the Blue Revolution brought particular changes to the country and hailed the PA’s efforts to extract oil from the depths of the ocean. He enshrined the Petroleum and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) deep water block project and said the upgrading of the fishing port will bring hope to the lives of fishermen. He concluded by saying that the country is on the path of coastal development.
Modi is now heading to Hyderabad from Visakhapatnam, where he will visit a fertilizer factory and meet with officials.
