Shin Megami Tensei V’s # 138 Daily Demon video features Yoaki Koropokkuru miniature

Atlus Japan’s official Youtube channel shared the 138th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Koropokkuru, a breed of miniature yokai in Japanese folklore. They were calm beings who lived alongside humans and even traded with them. However, following a life-threatening incident where a young man ambushed a Koropokkuru woman to see how they looked up close, dissatisfaction with the event caused the two sides to never interact again.

Koropokkuru uses Bufula, Mabufu, Tarukaja, Rakukaja, and Ice Breath, making him a clearly ice-centric demon with helpful buffs to support himself. Koropokkuru debuted in Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers, and their first Character the appearance of the game was in Persona 5.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in today’s Tokyo that prevents the game’s protagonist from returning home. The detour may be due to fate or some other force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

Upon awakening, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a post-apocalypse desert known as Da’at. He quickly discovers that he is not alone, as the demons are closing in on his location. However, a powerful being known as Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get answers about what happened to his old home.

Shin Megami Tensei V releases for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
