“Almost a year ago, society and government began a beautiful era in the history of Nuevo Laredo, with the firm conviction and responsibility that everyone does what is appropriate for them. The slogan of “La transformación Avanza” (Transformation advances”) is not just words, we have a clear vision to transform Nuevo Laredo and make this city the best place to live, making it a prosperous municipality with opportunities for all,” she says.

The mayor placed particular emphasis on the cross-border vaccination program, attention to the wave of Haitian migrants, the role of Nuevo Laredo as an important commercial port, the selection of Nuevo Laredo and Laredo for the binational river park and rainwater infrastructure. in the city.

“We are the administration that has invested the most resources in public works in the history of our city. We handled files that had been waiting for more than 25 years, such as the rehabilitation and construction of rainwater and sanitary drains, despite the voices saying that it was not profitable; in political terms, to bury the money because once the work was done, nothing and no one would remember who or what was there, however, I’m not moved by vanity, I’m moved by the spoken word promise and the general interest of the people of Nuevo Laredo,” she said.

Laredo Mayor Peté Saenz, who was among the guests, congratulated Canturosas Villarreal and said it was very interesting to listen to the report.

“It was a pleasure to listen to, see and work with her, and especially her interest in continuing to promote our region, showcasing bi-national trade, international bridges which include the expansion of the World Trade Bridge , as well as the Project 4-5 International Bridge and the Río Bravo-Río Grande Binational Park Project.

Canturosas ended his report by stating that Nuevo Laredo is in full recovery.

“I end this first stage with satisfaction, together we are transforming Nuevo Laredo,” she said.
